Sen. Panfilo Lacson said that too much ‘dramatization’ on the first senate hearing on the alleged extra-judicial killings amid the governments intensified war on illegal drugs.
Lacson said the senate could have been asked the resource persons rather than focusing on individual narration or so called ‘dramatization’. Adding that he can’t understand why they have to focus on that.
“Mas maraming nasayang na oras kanina. I don’t know bakit we had to dramatize yung pagna-narrate samantalang naka-submit na ng affidavit. We could have spent more time asking our resource persons instead of focusing on the individual narration ng kamaganak ng so-called victims,” he said.
He stressed that the first Senate hearing failed to get to the main issue, including what the Philippine National Police are doing to stop the ‘deaths under investigation’.
“Masyadong belabored kasi. Dapat yan pagka-submit ng affidavit, siguro five minutes is enough for them to narrate,” he added.
“Kahapon ang apprehension ko, … kung masyadong malambot siya, baka sabihing intentionally or deliberately nag-hold siya ng punches niya kasi natakot. Kung masyadong gigil naman siya pwede siya i-perceive na gigil na gigil kasi may iringan. Parang napunta siya sa no-win situation but it went well. After the hearing okay naman except na talagang maraming nasayang na oras.” Sen.Lacson said.
