President Rodrigo Duterte’s leadership and his personality have caught so much attention during his trip in New Zealand.
Murray McCully,foreign minister of New Zealand described the President as “charming” during their informal meeting over the disputed South China Sea.
“He’s a tough guy but he was warm, courteous and actually quite charming,” McCully told the New Zealand Herald after the meeting.
“He doesn’t beat around the bush. He has got quite firm views and he expresses them, and very colorfully,” he said.
McCully and Duterte had an informal meeting during the latter’s overnight stopover in Auckland, New Zealand on his way back to the Philippines from the APEC summit in Peru.
