It’s been a busy summer for HBO, as original show like “Game of Thrones,” returned to television on its latest season.
However, network officials are in no celebratory mood, as HBO confirmed a major cyberattack on its media library, which resulted in hackers obtaining 1.5 terabytes of data from the company.
HBO remained mum about which information was stolen, but the anonymous hackers reportedly bragged about collecting several content of the critically acclaimed series “Game of Thrones.”
A script for the upcoming fourth episode of Season 7 is believed to be uploaded as well, with hackers rumored to be claiming to have more leaks “coming soon.”
HBO’s recent cyberattack comes in the wake of another hack on internet-television giant Netflix earlier this year, where episodes of the hit series “Orange Is the New Black” leaked online ahead of its premiere.
