Senator Cynthia Villar realized that the information that she received on social media about the senators who wanted to destroy the majority bloc of the senate is possibly true.
During the senate session on Wednesday about the resolution against the killing of minors who were not signed by seven senators including Sen. Villar an ally of President Rodrigo Duterte.
Villar said that she hesitated to believe that information that she received at first, but because of the recent blog posted by a Facebook page called “Silent No More PH”, she believed that the warning that she receive on social media was already began.
The blog described Villar as a ‘business tycoon who showered PDP-LABAN millions during the election in exchange for her son heading the DPWH and make the family business prosper’.
Villar denied that she did not sign the resolution, because in the first place, she’s not aware that there’s a resolution against the killings of the minors.
“I just want to make a manifestation that I, together with the other senators were not asked to sign,” Villar said.
“We did not refuse to sign, we were not asked to sign,” she added.
In her speech, Villar also revealed that some social media practitioners already warned her about the other senators who’s planning to destroy the majority bloc.
She kept quiet about the information that she received for a long time because she did not believe it.
But now, Villar during her speech revealed the two senators who allegedly trying to destroy the majority bloc, they are senators Risa Hontiveros and Bam Aquino, both members of the minority bloc of the senate.
“It’s really somebody from the social media told me before, long time ago that there are two senators going to destroy us. But I did not believe it,” she said.
“It just when I saw the blog, then I started thinking that it was really true. I want to clarify Bam and Risa, they told me really that Bam Aquino and Risa Hontiveros will try to destroy us. I did not believe it, but now when I saw that blog, I said, maybe this is the beginning.” she added.
Villar clarified that she only received the information from some media practitioners.
