Mayor Duterte camp is expecting various groups and personalities to support his presidential bid

The camp of Mayor Duterte is expecting various groups and colorful personalities to throw their support behind his presidential bid once he officially declare his candidacy anytime soon.

According to Atty.Jose Calida one of the campaign managers of Duterte’s,aside from PDP-Laban,Champion for Rody Duterte,Friends of Duterte,VACC have already expressed their support for Mayor Duterte presidential bid, former president Fidel Ramos and his allies and former North Cotabato governor Manny Piñol are expecting to joined Duterte’s camp as well.

Calida a former justice Undersecretary of President GMA said he is expecting more Arroyo allies to join in Duterte’s camp,among them is former Armed Forces Chief of Staff Hermogenes Esperon.

“Our colors are technicolor,” Calida said in an interview with ABS-CBN news. “There are others who will be coming from different political camps.”

“In fact, some of those who were supporters of these presidential candidates are now supporting Mayor Duterte,” he added.

Calida also confirmed there is a anonymous businessman who pledged 1 Billion peso for Duterte campaign but is not asking for anything in return.

“Because Mayor Duterte does not want to ask money from people who has some ulterior motives. It’s not the habit of Mayor Duterte to ask for campaign contributions,” Calida said.

Saranggani Representative Manny Pacquiao, who is running under VP Binay’s UNA, and former MMDA Chairman Francis Tolentino, an independent candidate may also join Duterte’s slate soon.

Robin Padilla is one of Duterte’s most vocal supporters and other personalities are expected to joined as the official campaign period approaches.
