Hundreds of Ofw gathered in Taipei Expo Park where Davao City Mayor Rodrigo Duterte and Presidential candidate was mobbed by hundreds of OFW’s.
Over 100,000 Filipinos are currently working in the manufacturing industry and other sectors in Taiwan.
Davao City Mayor Rodrigo Duterte is on a 3-day visit to Taiwan since Saturday January 9,to familiarize himself with the country’s political,economic,social and infrastructural development.
Mayor Duterte was personally accompanied by Taiwan Representative to the Philippines Dr.Gary Song-Huann Lin on the said trip.
On Sunday,Mayor Duterte visited the Taipei Expo Park where he was warmly welcomed by hundreds of OFW’s who chanted his name.
Duterte promised that if elected as President of the Philippines he will fight crimes,drugs syndicate and stop graft and corruption.
Duterte also inspected Taiwan mass transportations like the fast train.
Mayor Rodrigo Duterte is also scheduled to visit Taiwan’s National Police Agency and the Ministry of Justice to discuss bilateral cooperation in combating crime and mutual judicial assistance.
