Koalisyon ng Daang Matuwid spokesman Akbayan Rep. Ibarra Gutierrez said that Davao City Mayor Rodrigo Duterte should act like a serious candidate and stop being ‘pabebe’ now that the Comelec First Division junked all the disqualification cases filed against him.
“Congratulations to him. He is now a true candidate. I hope he will act like a serious candidate and should stop being a ‘pabebe,’” Philippine Star quoted Gutierrez as saying.
He added that the mayor should be more careful when issuing an statement and make sure not to take them back later on.
“He should think first before delivering a statement,” Gutierrez said.
He also said that former DILG Sec. and Liberal Party standard-bearer Mar Roxas would no longer engage in a word war with the mayor.
“Mar has no plans to dignify the insults and bullying of Mayor Duterte. If he wants a decent conversation, they should face each other in a debate on issues,” he said.
The ‘WORD WAR’ between Davao City Mayor Rodrigo Duterte and Liberal Party standard-bearer Mar Roxas started when Mar Roxas said that the Peace and Order in Davao City is a ‘myth’.
