Leader of the House of Representatives Feliciano Belmonte Jr. said President-elect Rodrigo Duterte should look at Vice President-elect Leni Robredo as an ‘asset’ to his incoming administration.
“I think that is something that they better decide between them. If it becomes a partisan question, and it’s framed as us Liberals wanting an appointment, I think it’s not a good approach,” Philippine Daily Inquirer quoted Belmonte as saying.
However, he said he is not in position to ask the next leader of the country to give Robredo a Cabinet post. He added that ‘it was a good sign’ that Leni Robredo had expressed her intention to fully cooperate with the incoming administration.
